Dean Smith has revealed that club owners have been in touch with him for messages of support for the players ahead of their remaining two games.
Aston Villa currently sits on 18th position with 3 points gap between them and Watford on 17th position. Villa will host Arsenal next and will visit the Hammers in their last game of this season while Watford will host Manchester City and will play Arsenal away.
There is a chance that Watford will not able to get many points of these two games which can play a big role in keeping Villa in Premier League.
Dean Smith revealed the messages club owners have sent to the players, “They’ve passed messages onto the players through me. They’ve asked the team to keep working hard. They’ve said ‘there’s hope’. Without that, what is there? We’re passing on those messages.”
“They are behind the players and myself to maintain the Premier League status. We want to do it for them as much as anyone.”
“Wes would’ve been over if he could’ve. Both of them have been as supportive as they could have been – if it weren’t for the pandemic.”
