Former Aston Villa player Darren Bent believes that the club has addressed every single area in this transfer window and it won’t be a problem for Smith’s side to finish in the top 10 this season.
After a struggling last season, Dean Smith has added five new faces to his squad including Matty Cash, Emiliano Martinez, Ollie Watkins, Ross Barkley, and Bertrand Traore which has impressed Darren a lot.
Speaking in an interview with Sportology TV, Bent said, “They went and got Ross Barkley. What a signing that is, I didn’t see that coming. They have John McGinn, he’s fit and he looks a completely different player.”
“They’ve also added Matty Cash, which was a problem area, he’s come in and looked good on the right-hand side.”
“The goalkeeper could be the biggest. He was superb at Arsenal. They’ve addressed every single area where there were problems and put someone in that position.”
“I honestly think Villa will comfortably finish in the top half of the table.”
Aston Villa will face Leicester City on Sunday.
