Aston Villa is trying to sign more players this summer after adding Matty Cash and Ollie Watkins to the squad. After signing a Right Back and a Striker Villa is looking to sign a Goal-Keeper for next season and they have set their eyes on Arsenal’s Emiliano Martinez.
Martinez has taken the limelight after giving the Man of The Match performances in FA cup final and Community Shield final in just a month. He proved himself after getting the chance to play when Bernd Leno who was Arsenal’s number one choice for keeping goal post injured himself.
Aston Villa believes that they can sign the Argentine Goal Keeper in the coming weeks but this deal can be affected by the Brentford’s decision of not selling David Raya to Arsenal.
Arteta is planning to replace Martinez with Brentford’s David Raya but earlier today Thomas Frank (Bees Coach) ruled out the possibility of selling him and labelled him as “not for sale.”
He also addressed the rumours surrounding Said Benrahma and said, “If the price is right for [Benrahma] we’re open because that’s the way the club operates. The rest are not for sale.”
