Jack Grealish McGinn Aston Villa

Harry Redknapp Urged Spurs To Sign Villa Midfielder To Replace Modric

Harry Redknapp urged Tottenham Hotspur to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa to replace Luka Modric who left in 2012.

Modric left Spurs for Real Madrid back in 2012 and went on to win Ballon d’or for himself ahead of Messi and Ronaldo in 2018.

Aston Villa are currently struggling to keep themselves in Premier League despite Grealish’s great performances. Spurs could’ve signed Jack back in 2018 for just 6m Euros but they failed to do it for some reason.

Grealish’s performances this season highlights the Spurs’ failure in signing him. Many rumours are there that if Villa go down to championship then Jack might leave the Villians to stay in Premier League.

Many reports are now coming that Spurs want to sign him again and they are willing to give more than 50m Euros but Villa want only bids over 80m Euros.

Speaking to Alan Brazil’s Sports Breakfast Show, he said, “Grealish for sure, that is what they lack.”

“We had Luka [Modric] in there, Pochettino had Eriksen, people like that can make them play – people that can make them tick.”

“They need to recruit a couple of players in the summer.”
