Wesley’s One Year Stats At Aston Villa

One year ago Villa signed Brazilian striker Wesley Moraes for 25m euros. He was the most expensive player Villa ever bought and still is.

It’s been a year now and we have some stats to show how his first year has been at the club.

He played 22 games for Villa in total before he got injured. In those 22 games he appeared in 21 Premier League games and in one EFL Cup game.

He has scored 5 Premier League goals with an assist to his name. In 21 games he played in Premier League he managed to get 1790 minutes of play which means he averages a goal after every 358 minutes which is too high for a striker.

He just played 17 minutes in EFL cup against Liverpool and managed to get a goal for himself.

Goals Impact:

  • He scored his first goal for Villa against Everton at Villa Park. Villians won that game by 2-0.
  • Wesley scored his second goal against Arsenal in an away game. Villa lost that game by 3-2.
  • The 23-year-old striker scored his first brace against Norwich City in a 5-1 away win against them. He also registered an assist to his name.

  1. Always plays too deep, very rarely in a good scoring position. For me, he is’nt good enough…. I hope he proves me wrong !….. SOON.
